Being Prepared is much better than doing NOTHING

The Philippines is a disaster prone country and we can't escape the fact that we face this disasters head-on. These disasters are just simple challenges that we need to face and overcome and we should not let them be a barrier for having a good life.

We are somewhat they call "lazy workers" but I think that's a little bit true because we wait like 1 or 3 weeks to finish it compared to China, they always finish their job in like a day or two. But we always recover from any calamity within a few days. Rehabilitation, recovery and reconstruction programs in the Philippines are hindered by recurrent disasters, a lack of financial resources and the politicization of the process, linking immediate relief with long-term recovery and disaster risk reduction remains one of the persistent challenges of the aid sector because of continued under-funding of recovery programs. It appears that community networks and reciprocity are the predominant mechanisms through which Filipinos cope with risk. On an everyday basis, Filipinos promote "Bayanihan", which is a strong norm of community welfare and reciprocal labour that comes into play during disasters, in which those less affected help those which have been hit harder. As the government of the Philippines and numerous relief organization work together to move beyond the immediate response to the disaster-stricken areas.

So, we Filipinos do anything that we can to recover from any calamity or disaster that comes our way.
